While growing up in the Lake of the Woods District of northwestern Ontario, Muriel Bell discovered the art of the Group of Seven painters.  She was drawn to study at the Ontario College of Art. In Toronto, ON and graduated as an Associate of the College. Finding expression in the art of interior design, Bell designed and decorated residential and corporate interiors in New Brunswick for fourteen years.  Subsequently, in her own workplace, Bell established and maintains her almost four-decade practice of art making. Her work is both abstract and representational.  She has shown in many solo and group exhibitions.  Her work is included in public, corporate and private collections.
