Julia Vandepolder received an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Guelph (2009). She has exhibited at many public and private galleries nationally, most recently with a solo exhibition The Looking glass at Studio 21 Fine Art Gallery in Halifax, NS (2015). Vandepolder was selected as a finalist for the inaugural Salt Spring National Art Prize at Mahon Hall on Salt Spring Island, BC (2015). She is the recipient of numerous awards and grants including Best in Show(2015), Elora Arts Council Award (2014), Ellen Langlands Memorial Award (2013) and Emerging Artist Grant (2011) from Ontario Arts Council. Her paintings are held in private and corporate collections, including BMO Financial Group and Colart, Montreal. She lives and works in the Greater Toronto Area.
