Greg Charlton is a Fredericton-based visual artist who concentrates on themes of transformation and change – via drawings of architecture and infrastructure based on place and historical narratives. His practice encompasses, along with drawing, site-specific interventions and experiments into perceptual phenomenon. Greg’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, and can be found in many private and several public art collections; including the Canada Council for the Arts, the University of New Brunswick and the Beaverbrook Art Gallery. Greg has been awarded project grants from the Canada Council for the Arts, the Ontario Arts Council and the New Brunswick Arts Board, and holds a BFA from the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD U).

Narratives related to community, nationhood, industry, defence and migration. The structures and sites depicted in my drawings speak to erasure, renewal and change, and harken back to early topographical images of British North America.”
