Ann Clifford

Ann Clifford designs are developed in bronze, stainless steel, precious metals, stone, cement, canvas, graphite, clay, wax, and fibre. As a long-time participant in the fine arts community in Toronto, many of Ann's works are available in numbered, limited editions and are accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. She is also an active Community Arts Educator and Cultural Animator. The Art Gallery of Ontario sells her bronze and silver jewelry and sculptural pieces. Ann has recently had her exquisite contemporary vases displayed at the Gardiner Museum of Cerqamic Art in Toronto.

Owners of Ann Clifford's many private and corporate designs include Mikhail Gorbachev, the Tommy Hilfiger Company, CIBC Wood Gundy, Scotia Bank, Arthur Anderson, The National Bank of Canada, actors Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, John Rosetti and landscape architect Janet Rosenberg. Clifford's life-size work, highlighted in a landscape design by Janet Rosenberg, was awarded the Best Corporate Exhibit at Canada Blooms in the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Loblaw's Feature Garden, 2001.

A graduate of Fine Arts from Ontario's College of Art, Clifford began her career carving marble and casting metal in Pietrasanta, Italy. She says her family of architects, artists, and textile designers continue to be inspirational forces. The person she most credits for mentoring her to capture structure in the human form and muscle movement is her late life-drawing teacher, Warren Lucock.

A lover of animals and with a deep appreciation for horses and the vitality and healing they offer us; Ann's equine sculptures, ceramics, jewelry and paintings have been released through a new on-line gallery: www.GiftHorseGallery.com - Feature Artist.

Ann Clifford is available for corporate and residential commissions including exterior monuments and installations as well as interior artwork, architectural panels, and contemporary two and three-dimensional design.
